We are a family run business established back in 1983. We have been frying fish and chips for over 30 years. We pride ourselves in serving sustainably sourced fish, which we prefer to cook to order.
The Fisherman's is owned by Margaret and Peter Nolan, and is currently managed by their sons Christopher and Jonathan Nolan.
We set ourselves extremely high standards not only in our product we serve you but also in food safety. We have consistently scored 5 out of 5 in our 'Scores on the Doors' Environmental Health visits.
We make an effort to source our ingredients locally where possible in order to support local businesses. We have been buying our potatoes from Gwyn Morris and Son for many years, we purchase our fresh salmon from Mermaid Seafood and we even use the local vegetable shop to buy our lemons.
We also make a conscious effort to be environmentally aware by pro actively separating and recycling our waste for many years. We offer bio degradable packaging to our customers if they prefer to use it.
We recycle our used oil legally and responsibly using the VA Whitley waste edible oil service.
